I have noticed problems loading or posting pages due to limited bandwidth. I don't want to look a gift hoss in the mouth.
I do recommend that if you have a long post, that you save it on your computer before posting in case it is lost. I've lost a lot of posts to myspace that way. Click the button, and all my labours are gone, irretrievable.
Some things about the forum I hope to change, after I get more familiar with the options. If you have suggestions, feel free to communicate them to me.
No forum is forever. Nor are the posts in the forum in any sense preserved for posterity. I posted on some seven forums, and four of those are no more, all contents lost in the great void of random electrons that is the ultimate fate, I guess, of all that we think or write.
If you have immortal words that you want to preserve for your great grandchildren, save them to your computer. I cannot promise to preserve them for long here.
I do hope to keep up the forum, chase away the spammers and conniving forces of entropy in the short term, but ultimately my own efforts and budget and lifespan are strictly limited. As John Maynard Keynes said, "In the long run, we are all dead."
So for the short term, post away as you will.
